Shaniwar Wada

Shaniwarwada is a palace fort in the city of Pune in Maharashtra, India. Built in 1746, it was the seat of the Peshwa rulers of the Maratha Empire till 1818. Its is now maintained as a tourist site.

Potholes @ Nighoj


Beautiful place near Pune.

“Geologists indicate that formerly there was greater rainfall in this area and that the Kukadi River flowed out from the highlands with such force that scouring of the bedrock took place and resulted in the formation of these potholes and the gorge”

Alandi – आळंदी



I visited Alandi, It is located on the banks of the Indrayani River, 25 km (16 mi) north of Pune, India. it is visited by thousands of devotees/pilgrims.

Tulapur



Tulapur is one of my favorite places to visit.  The rivers Indrayani, Bheema, Bhama meet here.

How To reach Tulapur:
  • Take Ahmednagar Highway (SH-60) and travel till ‘Lonikand’ village.
  • Travel arount 5-6 Kms and you will see a board written with Sambhaji Maharaj’s pic.
  • Take left turn from there to go to Tulapur village.
  • Tulapur is 6-7 kms from this junction.
  • You can ask villagers for ‘Sangameshwar’ temple
  • Check on the right side of the road, you will see a board and hotel.  there is good place for parking.
